Ana de la Reguera and Ana Gasteyer Bio

Ana Kristina Gasteyer (born January 1st, 1977) is an American comic and singer. Her most well-known work was having been a regular participant of NBC's sketch comedy show Saturday Night Live between 1996 between 1996 and 2002. In the years since, she's played in sitcoms, such as ABC's Suburgatory and TBS's People of Earth NBC's American Auto and in the film Mean Girls. Gasteyer was studying in Northwestern University when she began her acting career. She first studied as an audio-major and then switched to theater studies after joining the campus' improv group. She has carried this spirit in her various parts in supporting roles like the extremely controlled Sheila Shay (agent), in Lady Dynamite, and the quirky Karen Grisham. She was the daughter of Nena de la Reguera, was a Miss Veracruz who became a journalist and television personality. Reguera started taking ballet classes at the age of classical ballet. She later began performance arts studies at the Instituto Veracruzano de la Cultura.
