Julie Chen Moonves is the host of Big Brother's 22nd season which premiered on CBS on August 5, 2018. Chen Moonves served as moderator, and was one of the original hosts of The Talk. She won an Daytime Emmy Award for her work. Her real passion came when she started writing, and was awarded an Emmy. In addition, she won an Emmy for hosting as well as an outstanding entertainment talk show. Her background in news has helped her transition to The Talk, which examines current events and problems through the lens by five women hosts.Chen Moonves served as co-host of CBS News' weekday morning broadcast The Early Show from 2002 through 2010. Her previous roles included anchoring CBS Morning News and The Early Show. Her first position in broadcasting was as a desk associate for ABC News' late-night broadcast Nightline together with Ted Koppel, who remains one of her journalists' heros. Chen Moonves was Koppel's co-worker on Anatomy of a Riot (the primetime special that won the Columbia du-Pont award and focused on the Los Angeles riots of 1992).
